The William Cecil Golden School Leadership Learning Program

Florida’s public schools require high-performing leaders who possess and utilize the competencies and skills necessary to successfully lead for the improvement of student learning. Designed to address the needs of educational leaders, the William Cecil Golden Professional Learning Program for School Leaders (WCG Program) provides teacher leaders, assistant principals, principals, and school district leaders with high-quality, competency-based, customized, comprehensive, and coordinated resources aligned with the Florida Educational Leadership Standards. These resources support the development and improvement of educational leadership and principal preparation programs, as well as professional learning programs for current school leaders.

The William Cecil Golden School Leadership Learning Program consists of several distinct components that are integrated with Florida's Continuous Improvement Model that focuses on student achievement. Components of the program address the needs of emerging school leaders engaged in Level I educational leadership programs, Level II principal preparation programs and district professional learning for current school leaders.
