With the health of Florida’s families as the number one priority, the Florida Department of Education has made the decision to cancel the 2020 Great Florida Teach-In on April 27, 2020. Following the Center Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance specific to COVID-19 in Florida, it has been determined that this is a necessary step to reduce the risk of spreading the virus throughout our communities. The Great Florida Teach-In is an annual job fair organized by the Florida Department of Education, Bureau of Educator Recruitment, Development and Retention. It provides a convenient forum that enables certified teachers seeking employment in Florida to obtain interviews with Florida school district and Florida charter school personnel responsible for hiring teachers.
