Florida State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement
Welcome to the Florida State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (FL-SARA) website. Florida became a SARA state in 2017 after legislation was signed to create the Postsecondary Reciprocal Distance Education Coordinating Council. The role of the Council is to provide oversight and guidance to postsecondary institutions in the State of Florida that elect to follow the national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance education courses and programs. FL-SARA facilitates the delivery of distance education by Florida institutions and ensures consistent consumer protection practices for students engaged in distance learning activities.
