Equal Educational Opportunity

About Us

The Office of Equal Educational Opportunity (OEEO) provides services and information to Florida schools, school districts, parents, students, and community groups on topics impacting educational equity. OEEO assists in ensuring that all institutions receiving federal funds provide equal access and equal opportunity in its programs, services and activities to all students and staff on the basis of race, sex, national origin, disability, age and marital status. OEEO also strives to ensure that the educational environment is free of bias, stereotyping, discrimination and harassment through on-site compliance reviews, review of annual equity updates from school districts, and providing appropriate technical assistance.
