Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran Commends Governor Ron DeSantis on Signing Triumphant Budget

Tallahassee, Fla., June 21, 2019 –Today, Governor Ron DeSantis signed the 2019-2020 Budget, which includes victories for Florida’s students, families, educators and workforce. Among the most significant are securing parents’ rightful place in the driver’s seat of their children’s education; increased funding to keep schools safe and reward high-quality educators; and the creation of life-changing pathways for Florida’s future workforce.

Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran said, “This was one of the best legislative sessions in Florida’s history, thanks to a unified commitment to making Florida #1 across the board. As we celebrate Governor Ron DeSantis signing the budget, we are witnessing his bold vision come to fruition with tremendous benefits for the people of Florida.
