Statement By: Education Commissioner Dr. Eric J. Smith Regarding Teacher Appreciation Week
“As we get closer to the end of the school year, it seems an especially appropriate time to thank educators all over our great state for the tremendous work they do every day in our classrooms. Thanks in large part to their steadfast dedication and commitment to student success, Education Week named Florida’s education system fifth in the nation, and we continue to see exceptional growth in student achievement across the board. I have extreme respect for our teachers and encourage all Floridians to take a moment to thank them for the incredible job they do in cultivating an atmosphere of learning that continues to positively impact our children.”
