Florida Department of Education Kicks Off Principal Community Collaboration

-New launchpad application available to school leaders across the state-

Tallahassee - The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE), in partnership with Novachi, today announced the launch of Florida's Principal Community Collaboration (PCC), an online tool with resources for the state's school leaders. The PCC joins a host of web-based social platforms managed by FLDOE Deputy Director of Educator Relations Kelly Seay. The purpose of the virtual communities is to enhance communication with educators at every level of the public school system at no cost to the users.

"Collaboration among education stakeholders is a priority in Florida. The Principal Community Collaboration tool will allow us to further this effort and bring important education issues to the forefront," said Deputy Director of Educator Relations Kelly Seay. "If we can expand the reach of our principals, we have more opportunities to improve student achievement and find strategies that work for our teachers in the classroom."

The PCC application is now available for all Florida principals. The PCC has been set up within individual schools so that principals can manage the resource for their school. Principals may retrieve their account information with their school email address at http://www.novachi.com/p/getcred.sf. To invite faculty, students, and parents related to a school, principals may use the Teacher Classroom Collaboration (TCC) application which is available for everyone.
