Teacher and Leader Preparation Implementation Committee to Hold First Meeting Via Conference Call

The Race to the Top Teacher and Leader Preparation Implementation Committee (TLPIC) will hold its first meeting via conference call tomorrow. Consisting of postsecondary representatives, teachers, principals and district administrators, the committee will help inform the process of using Florida’s value added student growth model in the evaluation of teacher and principal preparation programs as well as establishing performance measures that will result in continued program approvals.

During the call, the committee will outline their tasks, discuss a timeline and future meetings, and develop a process for ongoing collaboration between meetings. More information about the committee.
