Teacher and Leader Preparation Implementation Committee to Hold Face-to-Face Meeting in Ocala

The Race to the Top Teacher and Leader Preparation Implementation Committee (TLPIC) will hold its first face-to-face meeting May 9-10 in Ocala, Fla. The committee members represent Florida’s diversity in culture, community and region, and consists of postsecondary representatives, teachers, principals, district administrators, superintendents, and school board members. The purpose of the first meeting is to review the contemporary research on effective school leadership, which will serve as the basis to revise the current Florida Principal Leadership Standards to fully align with the research.
