Tallahassee, Fla. - The first face-to-face meeting of the Commissioner's Taskforce on Inclusion and Accountability will be held today and tomorrow at the University of Central Florida's College of Education Teaching Academy. The meeting will be available for viewing via webcast at www.fldoe.org.

During the State Board of Education meeting on February 28, 2012, the board voted to create a taskforce to develop an implementation plan to include students with disabilities, students who are learning the English language, and students enrolled in exceptional student education centers in Florida's school accountability system and to create recommendations for consideration by the U.S. Department of Education regarding Florida's Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) flexibility waiver.

Since then, the three subcommittees met via conference call to discuss the taskforce goals and objectives in preparation for the meeting. To listen to the audio of the subcommittee conference calls, visit http://www.fldoe.org/esea/default.asp#ctia. The members of the taskforce are listed below.
