Career and Technical Education Day on the Hill

Tallahassee, Fla., February 10, 2014 - Tomorrow Commissioner Pam Stewart and Career and Adult Education Chancellor Rod Duckworth will participate in Career and Technical Day on the Hill. As part of Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, more than 200 students and teachers from more than 50 high schools, technical centers, state colleges and state career and technical student organizations will gather to recognize the importance of career and technical education programs. Senate President Don Gaetz is also scheduled to participate.

Following the opening remarks, student demonstrations will be available to showcase career knowledge in areas including criminal justice, fashion, applied robotics and massage therapy. School displays will highlight the variety of programs offered across the state.
