Department of Education to Announce School-Related Employee of the Year
Tallahassee, Fla., April 20, 2017 – Tomorrow, the Florida Department of Education will announce the 2017 School-Related Employee of the Year. The winner will be chosen from five state finalists based on their contributions to their schools and communities.
The five finalists for the 2017 School-Related Employee of the Year are:
Alachua County – Eunice Johnson, Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Classroom Paraprofessional, Irby Elementary School
Pinellas County – David Melnick, Food Service Manager, Lake St. George Elementary School
Highlands County – Donna Peavy, Media Paraprofessional, Avon Park High School
Brevard County – Jamie Skinner, Cafeteria Manager, Ralph Williams Elementary School
Palm Beach County – Jane Winters, After School Site Director, Beacon Cove Intermediate School
