About Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida!

Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! is an annual event during which students, teachers, administrators, parents and volunteers all celebrate the tremendous success Florida's students have accomplished over the past decade. It is an opportunity to encourage students to keep reading and improving their skills in order to prepare for a postsecondary education and career success within a global marketplace. Florida's educators and students will continue to make strides toward increasing student achievement in literacy, and through experiences such as touring the Museum of Florida History, students will be challenged to read every day and become more civically engaged, because "Literacy Changes Our World." The week's events are made possible by these participating sponsors: Florida Lottery; Scholastic; LEGOLAND® Florida Resort; and the Florida Education Foundation.
