Division of Blind Services Tampa Office Temporarily Relocates

Tallahassee, Fla., August 11, 2015 – The Florida Department of Education’s Division of Blind Services (DBS) announced the temporary relocation of the Tampa satellite office as of Tuesday, August 11, 2015, due to building damage caused by the heavy rainfall in recent weeks. The temporary location address is 1313 North Tampa Street, Suite 712, Tampa, FL 33602.

“We are grateful for the excellent teamwork demonstrated by everyone at the Department of Education and the Division of Blind Services which allowed us to quickly get back to serving our clients,” said Director of Blind Services Robert Doyle. “DBS serves individuals from birth through old age in a variety of programs designed to ensure that blind and visually impaired Floridians have the tools, support and opportunity to achieve success. This temporary location is available to both current and prospective clients in need of vision rehabilitation services.”

A date for returning to the permanent building at 415 S. Armenia Avenue has not yet been determined.
