Available Grants
Florida offers two grants to support the growth of computer science education:
- Computer Science Teacher Certification Grant: This grant provides funding to Florida school districts to cover the costs associated with computer science certification and/or professional learning.
- Computer Science Teacher Bonus Grant: This grant provides funding to districts for qualifying computer science teachers who teach an identified computer science course in the Course Code Directory.
These grants are designed to help districts and schools expand access to computer science courses, improve teacher certification in the field, and enhance overall computer science learning opportunities for students.
Computer Science Teacher Certification Grant
The Computer Science Teacher Certification Grant (25A140) is now available. For application details, including the request for application (RFA), the DOE 100A Project Application template, the DOE 101s template, Assurances, the Project Performance and Accountability Form (PPAF), and instructions for navigating ShareFile, please email CompSci@fldoe.org.
- For the 2024-2025 year, all application materials are due by September 15, 2024.
- All application documents must be uploaded to ShareFile.

Computer Science Teacher Bonus Grant
The Computer Science Teacher Bonus Grant (25A061) is now open for applications. Please refer to the request for application (RFA) and supporting materials, including the DOE 100A Project Application template, DOE 101s template, Assurances, the Excel form for requesting the bonus, and instructions for navigating ShareFile.
- For the 2024-2025 year, all application materials are due by January 30, 2025. If you are unable to submit by the deadline, please inform us.
- All documents must be uploaded to ShareFile.
