Department of Education to Hold Media Briefing Regarding 2008 Third Grade FCAT Results

TALLAHASSEE – The Department of Education will hold a media briefing this afternoon via conference call to discuss the release of the 2008 Third Grade Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) Reading and Mathematics results.

Participating in the call will be:

• Florida Education Commissioner Eric J. Smith
• Chancellor of Public Schools Dr. Frances Haithcock
• Deputy Commissioner of Accountability, Research and Measurement Jay Pfeiffer
• Office of Assessment and School Performance Administrator Dr. Cornelia Orr
• Chief of the Bureau of Research and Evaluation Juan Copa
