Great Florida Teach-In to be Held in Tampa

The Great Florida Teach-In, a statewide teaching job fair sponsored by the Department of Education, will be held in Tampa on Friday. The Teach-In provides teacher candidates seeking employment in Florida with a convenient forum to obtain interviews with school and district personnel responsible for hiring teachers. Florida will need approximately 20,000 teachers next fall.

More than 3,100 teacher candidates have pre-registered for the Teach-In – the largest number ever. Exhibitors include 40 school districts, 18 charter schools and 18 colleges and universities from across the state that offer approved educator preparation programs.
