The FCAT Sample Test Books are designed to help students become familiar with the FCAT by providing helpful hints and offering practice answering questions in different formats. The Sample Answer Keys are designed to help teachers explain to students the answers and solutions to the questions in the sample test books and to identify which Sunshine State Standards benchmark is being used by the question.

*Note: Senate Bill 1908 removed the multiple-choice items from the FCAT Writing+ (plus) assessment and prescribed a new writing assessment beginning in 2012-13. Beginning with the 2008-09 school year, the statewide writing assessment will once again have only one session (prompt/essay) and will be called FCAT Writing. The Writing Sample Test Books and Answer Keys below are for historic reference only. Students will not receive FCAT Writing Sample Test Materials for the 2009 test administration.

Grade-level sample test books and sample answer keys are revised or reprinted on a rotating basis. Booklets from the 2006-2007 archive are available by clicking on the grade-level booklet title to the right.
