Pine Ridge High Wins $10,000 Goody’s Good Deeds for Schools Grant
Goody’s Family Clothing, Inc., has awarded Pine Ridge High School a $10,000 check that will be used toward purchasing software and a mobile laptop lab to enhance foreign language instruction. The grant will enable the Polk County school teachers to have access to more than 15 laptops to improve the delivery of their instruction. Pine Ridge High currently offers seven foreign language courses including Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish.
Students in foreign language classes will now be able to practice speaking and listening with the help of the lab. Additionally, teachers will be able to use the computer software to provide their classes with more real-world applications of foreign language.
